I graduated from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business Undergraduate Program. I work in finance in New York City.

Accomplishments and Talking Points

Studied Abroad in Hong Kong: I spent 7 months abroad in Asia, studying at the University of Hong Kong. I spent most of my time interacting with locals, teaching English to young children, and speaking on behalf of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in the EducationUSA Hong Kong Advising Center. I also traveled through Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Japan.

Experienced Team Breaking and Team Building: Before I graduated from Berkeley, I had worked at 6 different companies and took leadership roles in 4 student groups. The cultures and environments have been formal and informal, professional and fratty, stressful and laid-back, discriminatory and inclusive. I have been “let go” and promoted, criticized and applauded. These experiences have helped me realize the importance of being surrounded with capable and supportive people both inside and outside the office. It less about me, and more about the community.

Paid for College: I graduated debt free with using grants, scholarships, and part-time employment to pay for all 4 years. I am especially grateful for the support from friends and family (especially Mom). College was a long period of personal growth and maturity. I learned to balance work, school and life; and I become responsible and accountable for my  learning, actions, and outcomes.
